Over the years, the Nigerian music industry has produced great female vocalists, songwriters and music producers. Among them is Yemi Eberechi Alade popularly known as Yemi Alade, born on 13th March 1989 in Abia State, Nigeria.
Yemi Alade first became popular when she won the Peak Talent Show in 2009.
She followed this up with a hit track ‘Johnny’ in 2013 which produced a sensational appeal to many of her fans and music lovers, bringing her to limelight as a great dancer and singer.

Yemi Alade’s style of music is majorly Pop and R ‘n’ B with a unique use of African percussion instruments.
She has many awards to her credit such as MTV Africa Best Female Award 2015 and 2016. Yemi has received many award nominations, including City People Entertainment Awards as the female musician of the year 2014, and BET Awards as Best International Act in Africa-2015.
Yemi Alade is also a philanthropist who has donated to many charitable causes. She donated proceeds from her “Mama Africa” album to the Feed a Child Charity Initiative.
Yemi Alade is undoubtedly one of Nigeria’s most creative young talents.Just recently, she was the official guest artiste at the African Football Cup of Nations.
