Tobi Makinde

Tobi Makinde is a Nigerian actor, production manager and film maker who was born in Lagos State but is an indigene of Ilesha, Osun State.

Makinde’s passion for the film industry started at the age of seven when he starred in the movie “Silenced,” which was produced by Ralph Nwadike and directed by Tunji Bamishigbin.

His acting prowess earned him many roles in the Nollywood Movie Industry. At the age of thirteen, Makinde played one of the lead roles in the popular TV series “Kamson N Neighbors”.

Makinde has starred in so many movies and TV sitcoms such as: “Silenced 1998”; ”Full Circle 2004”; ”Tides of Faith 2004”; ”Kamson N Neighbors 2006”; ”Industreet 2016”; ”Jenifa’s Diary and The Missing Piece 2017”; ”My Siblings and I 2018”; ”Omo Ghetto:The Saga 2020”; ”Jenifa on lockdown 2021”; ”Battle on Buka Street and She Must Be Obeyed 2022”; ”A Tribe Called Judah and Three Working Days 2023”; “Everybody Loves Jenifa 2024” and others.

Makinde has co- directed one of Nollywoods highest grossing movie “Battle on Buka Street and in 2023 played the role of ‘Shina Judah” in “A Tribe Called Judah” starring many famous Nollywood stars.

The talented actor received an audience acclaim for his portrayal of ‘Shina Judah’, a hoodlum in the blockbuster “A Tribe Called Judah.”

Makinde who has won a Global Recognition Award for advancing entrepreneurship development is also a model for young and upcoming actors.
