Popularly called “Aki” in the movie industry in Nigeria,Chinedu Ikedieze was born on the 12th of December, 1977 in Bende, Abia State.

His first major film appearance was in 1998 when he played a minor role in a movie titled “Evil”. His first major role came in the movie titled “Aki na Ukwa” in which his talent instantly shot him into stardom.

He is best known for playing comic roles alongside his equally dimunitive and talented partner Osita Iheme “Pawpaw”.The two could rightly be described as the enfant terrible in the film industry in Nigeria and indeed Africa.

It is also a fact that for over two decades “Aki” and his twin acting partner “Pawpaw” have become some of the most visible faces in the movie industry in Nigeria having featured in a large number of films.

Over the years, Chinedu has grown from being just an actor and has become an entrepreneur, producer and investor in the industry.

He has received a number of awards in his acting career. In 2007,he got an Africa Movie Academy Life Time Achievement Award and was also honoured by the Nigerian Government with
the award of Member of the Federal Republic (MFR) bestowed on him by the then President Goodluck Jonathan.
