MEMBERS of Nigerian Publishers Association (NPA) Kaduna State Branch have lauded the intensified enforcement strides of Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) in curbing book piracy in the State, especially during the 2022/2023 first term of secondary schools.
This commendation was made by Mr. Emmanuel Oguntoye of the University Press Ltd who led representatives of the NPA on a courtesy visit to the NCC Kaduna Office on 22nd November 2022.
While calling for more collaboration between NPA and the Commission, Mr. Oguntoye reiterated that the effect of the Commission’s enforcement operations was evident in the State.
The Director, Kaduna Office, Mrs. Susan Bashorun, in her response assured of the Commission’s readiness to assist publishers in sanitising the book industry and commended the representatives of NPA for the existing synergy.
Other representatives of the NPA in attendance were Mr. Job Etubi of Learn Africa Plc; Mr. Jude Ogbodobri of Extension Publishers Ltd and Mr. Samson Hussaini of Metropolitan Publishers Ltd.
