NCC Uyo Office, in line with the Commission’s policy thrust of promoting creativity and harnessing potentials of creativity for national development, recently presented copies of the Commission’s publication to the Uyo Book Club during the Club’s monthly meeting on 25th May 2024.
Presenting the publications, State Coordinator (SC), NCC Uyo Office, Mr. Elijah Akpan, sensitised the participants on some major highlights of the 2022 Copyright Act and extolled the virtues of the founder, Uyo Book Club, Dr. Udeme Nana. He assured that his vision will materialise into the establishment of more Book Clubs in the State and beyond.
The SC commended the guest reader of the month; Mrs. Umoh for her contribution to the growth of knowledge in the state through her new book titled Those Teenage Days, and wished her more years of creativity.
The guest reader of the month and General Manager, Ibom Leadership & Entrepreneurship Development Centre (ILED), Mrs. Ekaete Umoh, read some portions of her book Those Teenage Days while the book was reviewed by Mrs. Stella Edemekong. The session was moderated by the Founder, Uyo Book Club.
The event which featured reading sessions was held at Shakespeare Hall, Watbridge Hotel, Uyo.
