NCC Inspects Printing Outlets in Yola

Operatives of Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) have embarked on copyright compliance inspection and sensitisation of printing outlets in Yola, Adamawa State.

The State Coordinator, Mr. Yusuf Ibrahim who made this known, stated that the inspection exercise was carried out on 14th September 2022 as part of activities marking the commencement of book season which would herald the start of a new annual school session in the country.

He indicated that some of the outlets visited in the state capital were Alvari Printing Press; Valla Printing Press; Range Digital Press; Noah’s Press; Haneram Prinitng Press and Large Format Printing Press.

He said most of the outlets visited were in compliance with the Commission’s directive on printing original books.

Mr. Yusuf Ibrahim described the inspection carried out in Yola as auspicious, “coming at a time when the issue of book piracy is bedeviling schools and therefore, requires copyright awareness and intervention”.
