THE Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) has enjoined members of the Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MOPPAN) to join relevant collecting societies to enjoy the economic benefits derivable from the use of their copyright works.
The State Coordinator, NCC Kaduna office, Mrs. Rukayya Muhammad Yeldu stated this while receiving executive members of MOPPAN, Kaduna State Chapter on a courtesy visit to the Kaduna Office of the Commission, 20th February, 2025 .
While giving assurances that the Commission is committed to effectively carry out its statutory mandate of protecting creativity, the State Coordinator further assured the MOPPAN team that the Commission is ready to partner with relevant organisations in the areas of Copyright promotion and enlightenment.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Association, Mr. Murtala Aniya pledged their readiness to work with the NCC.
