NCC Collaborates with Printers in Bauchi to Curb Book Piracy

AS part of efforts to reduce cases of copyright piracy, theft and illegalities in the chain of
distribution of copyright protected works, the Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) has disclosed
readiness to deepen its synergy with printers and other stakeholders in Bauchi State.
The State Coordinator, NCC Bauchi Office, Mr.Ahmed T. Nasir who revealed this in a report noted
that Operatives of the Commission were at Ramadan Press Ltd. Bauchi, on 21st June 2022 to
enlighten the publishers and printers on Copyright basics and strengthen collaboration.
Mr. Nasir informed that the NCC officers engaged with the printers on the need for active
collaboration to foster ways of curbing the menace of book piracy and stem the rate of street hawking
of pirated books in the state.
