Mercy Johnson Okojie was born on August 28, 1984..She is a new generation actor, producer and director who started her acting career after attaining her secondary school education.

She has acted in more than 100 movies since joining the industry and  has appeared in such movies as’The Maid’; Hustlers;Baby Oku in America; War in the Palace among others .

Mercy  Johnson Okojie has several awards to her credit within Nigeria and other parts of the African Continent. Among her awards are: Best Supporting Actress in the movie’The Maidens’ (2009); Best Actress in the movie”Heart of a Widow”Nigerian Entertainment Awards   ; Best Actress in a Leading Role in the movie Dumebi, the 2013 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards; Best Actress Collaboration in  “30 Days in Atlanta” and

Dumebi,the Dirty Girl; 2015 Ghana Movie Awards, Best Supporting Actress in the movie “The New Normal”2022 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards as ; Best Actress in Comedy/TV series in “Battle on Buka Street” and “Passport”,

2023 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.

Mercy Johnson Okojie has successfully carved a niche for herself in the movie industry and was listed as Google’s most searched Nigerian celebrity, a position she held till 2012.

Her commitment and industry was rewarded with the position of a Senior Special Assistant to the Kogi State Governor on Entertainment, Arts and  Culture.
