Michael Akpan is currently the Director, Regulatory and Compliance, with responsibility for Coordinating the specialized training on Copyright and Intellectual Property matters for Staff of NCC and professionals in the IP related industries. In addition, he is responsible for managing the Commission’s external collaborations with other institutions on matters relating to Intellectual Property Awareness and Education.

Mr Obi Ezeilo is the Director of Operations, Nigerian Copyright Commission. He read Law in University of Nigeria, graduating in 1988 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1989. He commenced private legal practice in Enugu in 1989 and later joined the Nigerian Copyright Commission in 1998.Read more


Mr. Nweke Collins

Director, Nigerian Copyright Academy

Mr Nweke Osondu Collins is the Director, Port Harcourt Office of the Nigeria Copyright Commission (NCC). He has over 24 years’ experience in promoting copyright law and policies in Nigeria. Prior to becoming a Director, Mr Nweke had worked at the NCC in various capacities in the Planning, Research & Statistics Department; Office of the Director-General; and the Nigerian Copyright Academy, the training arm of the Commission.


Mr. Usman Taiye Hassan

Director, Planning Research and Statistics (PRS)

Mr. Usman Taiye Hassan is the Director, Planning Research and Statistics (PRS). He was born on 11th November,1964 in Ipee, Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State.

Mr. Emeka Ogbonna hails from Okutu in Nsukka L.G.A of Enugu State. He studied Law at University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus and was called to Bar in 1990. Following his mandatory National Youth Service, he worked briefly in the Enugu State Ministry of Justice before his transfer of service to the Nigerian Copyright Commission in 1999. Read more

Mrs. Okeke Ngozi Cecilia was born on the 26th of June 1965. She attended primary school at Isseke Central School, 1973-1979 and secondary school at Girls High School, Mbosi, 1979-1984, in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.


Mrs. Lynda Alphaeus

Director, Lagos Operational Office

Lynda Alphaeus is a hardworking, God fearing legal practitioner. She studied Law at the University of Lagos, Akoka where she obtained her LL.B with flying colors and subsequently obtained her LLM.Lynda Alphaeus is a director with the Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC), she was head of the legal department overseeing a team of excellent Intellectual Property lawyers before becoming the head of the Lagos Office of the commission.
