KANYEYACHUKWU TAGBO OKEKE

Kanyeyachukwu Tagbo Okeke is a young Nigerian visual artist who was born in November, 2009.

Kanyeyachukwu has limited verbal skills as a result of autism but has great talent in the visual arts which has made him a fast rising star in the industry.

His works infuse the deep colours of the society presented on canvas while the theme of his exhibitions are centred on raising awareness, promoting acceptance and inclusivity for children living with autism and special needs.

Kanyeyachukwu’s works have great appeal and can be found in some local and international galleries and museums.

He has also a number of awards and recognitions to his credit and in 2019, received an award at the Indomie Independence Day Awards for Heroes in Nigeria.

At the 8th Annual Nigerian Independence Day Celebration 2023 organized by Havard College Nigerian Students Association, Kanyeyachukwu was honoured with the young CEO Award by Ras J.Baraka,the Mayor of the City of Newark,New Jersey , United States of America.

Kanyeyachukwu’s works and paintings have been exhibited in New York, Washington DC,Malta and at the OPEC Fund for International Development Art Exhibition in Vietnam and Austria among other locations.

He also has an autism awareness project known as the Autism Foundation which is dedicated to the cause of children living with autism.

Kanyechukwu is indeed a young iconic creator that has brought pride and honour to his country Nigeria.
