Folarin Falana (FALZ)

Folarin Falana popularly known by his stage name Falz was born on 27th October, 1990. He is a Nigerian rapper, songwriter and actor who began his musical career in secondary school after forming a group called “The School Boys” with his friends.

His professional career as a music artist began in 2009 when he released the song ” Marry Me” featuring vocals from Yemi Alade.In 2009, he followed up releasing a compilation of some of his recordings as a mixed tape titled ” Shakara”.

Falz started making real inroads into the creative scene in 2011 when he released a single titled “Wahz up”, “High Class” and “Currency” which gained him serious recognition in the Nigerian music industry.
The multi -talented Falz who combines music and acting effectively has won the following awards:Best Actor in a Comedy Movie/Series at African Magic Viewers Choice Awards 2016;
Best New International Act category BET Awards 2016; Best Supporting Actor, African Magic Viewers Choice Awards 2018 among other awards and nominations.
The creator in 2020 established a film production company with the name House 21TV.
Falz has also over the years shown the activist in him presenting a strong voice for increased participation and youth involvement in Nigerian politics and other social causes.
