Emem Isong

Emem Isong is a veteran Nigerian screenwriter, film producer and director born on September 5.

She made a grand entry into the Nollywood industry as she began film making in 1994 when she wrote the script and co-produced the movie Jezebel.

An innovative producer and director, she has made distinctive mark in the Nollywood industry and has produced the following movies: Reloaded; Breaking Point; She Devil,; A Minute to Midnight; Play Boy; Private; Master Stroke; Rumours; Shattered Illusion; Promise Me Forever; Emotional Crack and many more.

Her movie Emotional Crack was screened at the African Film Festival in New York City.

This multi-talented creator has the following awards to her credit
i. ZAFAA Awards, Best Producer for the movie Memories of my Heart (2010)
ii. Eloy Awards, Best Movie Producer of the Year for I’ll Take My Chances (2011)
iii. Best of Nollywood, Special Recognition Award;
iv. Africa Movie Awards in the category of Best Scriptwriter for the movie Reloaded (2008)
v. City Peoples Award in the categories of Best Producer of the Year and Best Screenplay for the movie Reloaded (2008)

Isong was also a speaker in the Afrinolly master class series and also a judge for the MTN Afrinolly short film competition in 2013.

This multiple award winner stands out as one of the best in the areas of movie production and directing in Nigeria.
