NIGERIAN Copyright Commission (NCC) and National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA,) Bauchi State Command, have committed to exploring inter-agency partnership to stem copyright piracy in the State.
The Director, NCC Bauchi Office, Mr. Michael O. Madueke, revealed that both enforcement agencies reached the understanding during a copyright advocacy visit to the State Commander of NDLEA, Bauchi State Command, Mr Aminu Ali on 25th November, 2022.
The Director stated that the initiative was in line with the Commission’s drive to deepen its synergy with stakeholders in the fight against Piracy.
According to him, the essence of the visit was to consolidate the existing relationship with the NDLEA towards strengthening the Commission’s fight against piracy in the State.
Mr. Maduake stated that the NDLEA State Commander assured the Commission of his Command’s readiness to give maximum cooperation to NCC in the fight against piracy in the state.
The Director who was accompanied by some Copyright Inspectors thanked the NDLEA State Commander for his willingness to partner the Commission to check the onslaught of piracy in the State.
