4 New Directors Emerge as NCC Promotes 91 Others in 2022

FOUR Deputy Directors have been elevated as substantive Directors by the Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) during its 2022 promotion exercise conducted at the Headquarters, Abuja.

The newly promoted Directors who were subsequently deployed on 26th July 2022 as Directors of State Offices were Mr. Michael Madueke – Director, Bauchi Office; Mrs Funmilayo Adewale – Director, Makurdi Office; Mrs Susan Bashorun –                Director Kaduna Office; and Mr. Collins Nweke  – Director, Port Harcourt Office.

The approved promotion results released by the Commission on 4th July 2022 showed that three (3) staff were promoted as Deputy Directors and four (4) others uplifted to the rank of Assistant Director during the exercise conducted on 28th June for Directorate Cadre candidates on GL 14-16.

The Director of Administration, Dr. Idowu Ogunkuade who communicated the results on behalf of the Director-General, Dr. John O. Asein, revealed that eighty four (84) officers were successful in the promotion exams held on 25th May 2022 for eligible staff on Grade Levels 7 – 13.

A breakdown of the staff promoted in the non-Directorate category indicates that 10 successful candidates were promoted to GL 14, 19 officers to GL 13, 38 officers to GL 12. Others are nine officers elevated to GL 10, five officers to GL 09 and three to GL 08.

He noted that the promotion of all the successful candidates took effect from 1st January 2022.

One Chief Clerical Officer was converted to Executive Officer while another staff member was also upgraded from Grade Level 07 to 08.
