NCC Seizes N300, 000 Broadcast Piracy Contrivances

Following the complaint filed in by Multi-Choice Nigeria Limited, the Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) has seized over N300, 000 worth of Broadcast Contrivances used in pirating copyright protected Broadcast signals in Warri, Delta State.

Copyright Inspectors backed with a contingent of Mobile Policemen raided five locations within the state, seizing several Decoders, Smart Cards, Splitters, Remote Control and Cables, October 18, 2018.

Areas raided includes: Alegbo Street, Off PTI Road; Ogbolokoso, Off Otokuto Express; Otokutu Road; Esi Avenue, Off Mcdermoth Road and Odion Road, Off Cemetery Road.

The Zonal Manager Benin, Mr. Joseph Ajang who disclosed this in a report noted that further investigation and compilation of case file has commenced.
